Dans un monde dévasté par le manque d’eau, Luna (17) et son petit frère Paul (12) essaient de gagner la Montagne Rouge, une contrée apparemment épargnée par la sécheresse… Contre l’avis d’un père qui refuse de croire à l’existence de ce soi-disant Paradis Perdu.

In a world devastated by the lack of water, Luna (17) and her little brother Paul (12) try to reach Red Mountain, a region apparently spared by the drought… against the advice of a father who refuses to believe in the existence of this so-called Lost Paradise.

Hugues Hariche est un auteur-réalisateur franco-suisse. Ses courts métrages LES LIENS DU SANG (2003), FLOW (2012) et METROPOLIS (2015) ont été sélectionnés et primés dans plusieurs festivals internationaux. Il a été résident des Ateliers Premiers Plans d’Angers et du Berlinale Talent Campus. RIVIÈRE (2023) est son premier long métrage et est présenté en première mondiale au Festival du film de Locarno.

Hugues Hariche is a writer and director with joint Swiss and French nationality. His short films BLOODLINES (2003), FLOW (2012) and METROPOLIS (2015) were selected for and awarded at several international festivals. He was a resident at the Premiers Plans workshop in Angers and at the Berlinale Talent Campus. RIVIÈRE (2023) is his first feature-length film and hpremieres at the Locarno Film Festival.
